The theme of justice is not only a major thread running through the tapestry of Biblical literature, but it is in fact a major theme of salvation history, of human history itself. It is an issue that we grapple with in every society and every generation. The Bible offers us a deep pedagogy on justice, and because justice is intrinsic to the human experience, the Bible offers us a deep pedagogy not only on justice, but on the mystery of humanity itself, the mystery of the human experience, of who you are and who I am.
Join me today in a walk through the biblical definition of justice (per Jeremiah 22) and a look at how this is playing out in current events in society today. Additionally, we will take a look at 13 aspects of the cardinal virtue of justice and how we can exercise these habits in our daily lives to live the Gospel call to justice.
