Blessed Alberione, the founder of the Pauline Family, had constant recourse to St. Joseph, especially in financial matters. As a father to us in the faith and provider for the Body of Christ (who we are), St. Joseph can assist us in obtaining success. The Lord has entrusted to Joseph's care not only himself in his earthly life, but all of us on our earthly sojourns. In imitation of Christ, let us "go to Joseph" (Gen 41:55).

The Rosary with Saint Joseph
The Saint Joseph Rosary is a powerful way to join the earthly father of Jesus in prayer. Here's how: 1. Recall God's presence with you. Thank him for his love and ask him for the gift of prayer. 2. Name your intentions. Tell Mary and Saint Joseph about the people and situations God has placed on your heart. Ask them to pray with you for these needs. 3. Pray the mysteries. Pray the Rosary as usual, but in place of the traditional mysteries, meditate on the five mysteries concerning Saint Joseph's life and vocation. As you pray, ponder the virtues and example of Saint Joseph, and ask God how you can imitate him in your own vocation: Joseph's Betrothal to Mary (Mt 1:18) The Annunciation to Joseph (Mt 1:19-21) The Birth and Naming of Jesus (Mt 1:22-25) The Flight into Egypt (Mt 2:13-15) The Hidden Life at Nazareth (Lk 2:51-52) Saint Joseph was no stranger to hardship, but by persevering in his vocation as the husband of Mary and earthly father of Jesus, he found unspeakable joy. Through his prayers, may we be faithful and persevering in the ways God is calling us to love. Saint Joseph, pray for us! |
