On this day, O beautiful Mother,
On this day we give thee our love. Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover, Trusting thy gentle care to prove. On this day we ask to share, Dearest Mother, thy sweet care; Aid us ere our feet astray Wander from thy guiding way. Queen of angels, deign to hear Lisping children's humble prayer; Young hearts gain, O virgin pure, Sweetly to thyself allure. Rose of Sharon, Lovely flow'r, Beauteous bud of Eden's bow'r; Cherished lily of the vale, Virgin Mother' Queen we hail. |

Sub Tuum Praesidium (c. 250 AD)
Sub tuum praesidium confugimus, Sancta Dei Genitrix!
Nostras depractiones ne despicias in necessitatibus,
Sed a periculis cunctis libera nos semper,
Virgo gloriosa et benedicta.
We fly to your protection, Holy Mother of God!
Despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but ever deliver us from all danger,
O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Tota Pulchra Es, Maria / You are all beautiful, O Mary
You are all beautiful, O Mary, and original stain is not in you. You are the glory of Jerusalem, the joy of Israel, the honor of your people, the Advocate of sinners. O Mary! O Mary!
Virgin most prudent, Mother most clement, pray for us. Intercede for us before Jesus Christ our Lord.
Virgo Dei Genitrix / Virgin Mother of God
1. O Virgin Mother of God,
He Whom the whole world does not contain,
enclosed Himself in thy womb,
being made man.
2. True faith of thy begotten Son
has cast out the sins of the world,
and for thee virginity
remains inviolate.
3. Thou art the Mother of divine love,
Thou the aiding power the world cries out to:
come in aid, O blessed one,
to thy servants.
4. Great glory be to the Father,
equal glory to the Son,
great glory to God the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Regina Iure Diceris / Queen justly proclaimed
O Mary, justly are you proclaimed Mother and Queen of Apostles!
A sparkling crown of twelve bright stars circles about your brow serene.
Because your Son redeemed mankind, His gifts pass through your lavish hand.
Through Christ's apostles of all times, you give men gifts as God has planned.
You first presented Christ your Son to Joseph on that holy night.
To shepherds poor and magi wise, beneath the star you showed the Light.
Within the temple of the Lord, you offered God his victim Son,
and later found him there a youth, his speech astounding everyone.
At Cana's feast, Christ heard your prayer, at your request worked his first sign.
Divinity shone forth from him when He changed water into wine.
When Christ died to atone for sins, your pity for us was so great
that on the altar of your heart, you too the Lord did immolate.
You sweetly, firmly fortified diffusers of Christ's truth sublime.
As you instructed the young Church, so teach Christians of each age and clime.
All glory, Jesus Lord, to You! Our Savior, whom the Virgin bore!
All glory, praise, and honor too, to Father and Spirit evermore. Amen.
Del Tuo Bel Trono / From Your Beautiful Throne
From your beautiful throne, O loving Mary, cast your gaze upon all who call to you.
Accept, O Mother, as gifts to You ascending the hymns and prayers our hearts offer You.
You are the joy and peace that in each heart reigns.
You are our comfort, our hope in all our pains.
Beneath your gaze, O our Most Loving Mother, we live our lives and so we wish to die.
O Mary, Queen of Apostles, pray for us! Mary, our Mother, pray for us!
Grant at the end of our sojourn on this earth that our souls may ascend to heaven with you!
D'ogni Apostolo Regina / Queen of Every Apostle
You are the Queen of every apostle, Mary, and a Mother to us all.
Upon your children look with mercy; in heaven, show us Jesus.
Chorus:
Countless pens and tongues and accents all proclaim you blessed, O Mary!
May the nations sing their praises to Jesus Master--Way, Truth, and Life!
You are the great mother of the Son, sacred Spouse of the Spirit,
Among the daughters of the Eternal Father, most beloved you are.
Chorus
Wholly beautiful and immaculate, You are mother and ever virgin.
Assumed you were into heaven, and there crowned Queen to dispense God's grace to all.
Chorus
Maria, Che il Figlio Divino / Mary, May the Son Divine
Mary, your Son Divine gave you as mother to every Apostle,
You give light to us on the arduous way. Guide our souls and fortify us with faith.
Chorus
Under your protection, O Queen of Apostles, we will fight for the kingdom of Christ.
Help us to give His divine peace to mankind. May we give glory and honor to God!
In the Cenacle with the Apostles, you prayed that the Spirit of Love would descend
upon all those called to work in God's vineyard. Grant us graces and favors from God.
Chorus
May the world hear the Word of the Master, finding in Jesus the Way, Truth, and Life.
And may you, O Queen Mother, Teacher, give your children the help we implore.
Chorus
May the flame of God's love be enkindled in minds left anxious by darkness and error.
Grant that the media be placed at the service of God, who makes all minds and hearts to glow.
Chorus
Queen of Apostles,
Queen of Angels,
Queen of Martyrs,
Queen of Confessors,
Queen of all Saints,
pray for us!
