Greetings and peace to you and your family today on Thanksgiving Day 2020. Thanks be to Almighty God, our Father, Creator, Lord, and King, Source of All Blessing and Goodness in our lives, Source of all our Loving, all our Hoping, all our successes, because none of them, not one success in our lives could have come about without the power and will of the Lord our God, whom we humbly thank today on the occasion of this American national holiday. Tune in today for a reflection on Thanksgiving Day, the unique American national holiday that undergirds the preservation of free societies. Give thanks, live in love, and HOIST THE AMERICAN FLAG OF FREEDOM TODAY.
Today, I'd like to share with you a meditation written by Venerable Cardinal Francis Nguyễn Văn Thuận. Cardinal Twan passed into eternity in 2002, and his life was very holy. Because of his faith, he was imprisoned by the Vietnamese government for 13 years. And this is why this meditation is so powerful. His meditation is titled: Why We Need Not Be Terrified.
Fear as we know is counter-productive in the spiritual life. That's why "be not afraid" is announced so many times in scripture, particularly by God's messengers, the angels, whose encounters with human beings are recorded in the holy scriptures.
Love casts out fear. Recall and never forget that in the end, faith, hope and love alone remain; and the greatest of these is love.
Enjoy this brief meditation.
Today's episode includes a FREE GIFT (right at the beginning) that you can take with you throughout your day! Also included is a guided meditation on the 10 Commandments, which together comprise the true foundation of social justice and a civil society.
